The World We Share: Paintings and Prints by Shared Habitat Earth

Categories:

Paintings and prints by Shared Habitat Earth (SHE) artists will be on exhibit in the library’s Meeting Room Gallery during the months of March and April 2026.

The group says of their work:

Experience the beauty and fragility of our world through the eyes of SHE artists.

Featuring paintings and prints which celebrate nature’s splendor alongside works that reflect the serious impact of climate change, this exhibition invites viewers to pause, look closely, and reconnect with the living world around them.

The recognition of our connection to the natural world and the awareness that we are part of an integrated system, where human actions and natural processes are intertwined, serve as powerful invitations to consider our role in sustaining the delicate balance of life on our planet.

Special events in connection with Earth Day will spark conversation and inspire hope, offering opportunities to learn, reflect, and explore ways tocare for the unique web of life we share.

Shared Habitat Earth (SHE) is a collaborative project of about 40 Boston-area artists, who are concerned about the environment and life on our planet. With artwork showcasing both nature’s beauty and the impact of global warming, the artists invite viewers to enjoy, reflect, and act for a sustainable future.

Since 2021, when the group was founded, SHE has created 16 successful events in the Greater Boston Area. Whenever possible, special events connected with art exhibits bring together artists, scientists, and educators to explore climate change solutions.

All are welcome to a reception and artist talk on Thursday, April 6, as well as a “Harmonies of Nature” concert and lecture with composer Alexander Liebermann on Sunday, April 26.
