Other proof of identification acceptable (must include name and photo):

  • Passport
  • Alien Resident Card
  • Government issued cards, such as Military ID
  • University or school ID

  • Imprinted bank check
  • Official school schedule with applicant’s name and address typed on it
  • Postcard mailed to applicant from library

*a Post Office Box or business address is not sufficient- a current address is required.

Children

If an applicant is under 13 years old, a parent or legal guardian must provide proof of identification and address.  The child and parent or legal guardian must both be present when applying for the card.

Electronic Cards

If you live in Massachusetts and have never had a Minuteman Library Network (MLN) card, you can apply online for an eCard. The eCard will let you access statewide databases and checkout ebooks and e-audiobooks from the Libby/OverDrive digital catalog. If you would like to request materials through MLN you can sign into your library account with your eCard number and password. When picking up the requested items you must come to the library and upgrade your eCard into a full-service library card.

Lost Cards

Please bring your Minuteman library card to check out library materials. If you have lost or misplaced your Minuteman card a free replacement will be provided to you. (There is a limit of one free replacement card per year.)
