In 2024, Margaret Sullivan Studio (MSS) and Acton Memorial Library (AML) collaborated on an engagement initiative to better understand the evolving needs of the community and staff. These engagements aimed to explore how the AML building could be enhanced to support desired programs and activities.
The Library recognizes that many of its public spaces require both aesthetic and functional updates. Based on valuable input from community members, staff, and town leadership, AML has identified interest in creating a library environment that is more aligned with the community’s preferences, offering spaces and resources that better support these needs.
This feasibility study from March 2025 serves as a series of recommendations for AML, both for small scale more immediate projects and a longer term goal and vision for the space.
