Are you in grades 9-12 and looking to be a Teen Volunteer? Do you need to complete you community service hours for school? Our volunteers help to keep shelves in order, re-shelve returned items, assist in the Reference, Children’s, Technical Services or Circulation departments, or perform other tasks as needed. Students in grades 6, 7, or 8 are invited to volunteer in the Children’s Room. Junior Volunteering runs in three sessions: Spring (February-May), Summer (June-August), and Fall (September-January). We have space for 10 volunteers per week. If more than 10 applications are submitted, volunteers will be chosen by lottery. Junior volunteers are limited to one hour per week. Participants must reapply to continue volunteering for the next session.

The AML Teen Advisory Board is a leadership volunteer opportunity that meets during the school year on the last Wednesday of each month. This leadership opportunity helps you gain experience managing various projects, working collaboratively with a team and leading change in an organization. If so consider joining our meeting and help us decide on events, books, and other teen services and be the change you want to see!
