Addison S. Bean married Irene Elizabeth Heald of Carlisle, Mass. December 6, 1851 at Manchester, N.H. They had one adopted daughter, Ida M. Bean, born August 1, 1856 (source: pension file).

Irene Bean died June 8, 1907, and is buried in the West Bethel Cemetery, West Bethel, Oxford County, Maine (http://www.findagrave.com).
