in
Acton County of  Middlesex State of Massachusetts

On Sept. 4th, 1861, I entered the service as private in Company E 26th Mass Vol. Infantry.

 

On Aug. 26th, 1865 he was finally discharged from service as the war had come to a close and he had served a term of three years, eleven months, and twenty-one days
