An Assortment of Animals: A Children’s Poetry Anthology

Illustrations by The Writers’ Loft Illustrators

An online exhibition by the illustrators of An Assortment of Animals: A Children’s Poetry Anthology, including Priscilla Alpaugh, Jodie Apeseche, Doreen Buchinski, Sally Hinkley, Brian Lies, Marty Lapointe-Malchik, Deborah O’Brien, Robert Thibault, and Joy Nelkin Wieder.

This exhibit is inspired by an illustrated collection of original poems about animals from New England authors and artists. The illustrations in the book were created by nine accomplished artists who work in both traditional and digital media, including acrylic paint, watercolor, collage, mixed media, colored pencil, pen and ink, and digital drawing and painting. Together, their art creates a diverse, colorful, creative, and inspiring assortment of illustration styles.
