Art Exhibition Talk

Tuesday, August 10, 2 p.m.

Lawn Outside Library Entrance (Rain location: Library Meeting Room)

Join illustrator-author David Opie for a talk about his book, All the Birds in the World. Mr. Opie will discuss the likenesses and differences between birds, and between birds and humans. He will show how he manages to depict the various birds and will encourage participants to try to draw them when they get home.

David Opie has illustrated many books including Dozer’s Run and There was an Old Gator Who Swallowed a Moth. However, All the Birds in the World is the first book where he is both author and illustrator. All the Fish in the World, Mr. Opie's second book where he does both the words and illustrations, will be published this fall.

Copies of All the Birds in the World will be available for sale at the end of the talk. Mr. Opie will sign copies and include his Kiwi logo. The cost of the book is $18.05, including tax, and checks should be made out to the Silver Unicorn Bookstore.

Illustrations from All the Birds in the World and All the Fish in the World are now on view in the library Meeting Room through August 30.
