Stack of library booksThe library's website includes links to a number of valuable book group aids and readers' tools. These can be found by clicking on "Resources & Research" on the main drop-down menu, and then on "Book and Media Lists."

On the "Book and Media Lists" page you will find links to book reviews, literary award winners, lists of best books and bestsellers – lots of tools to help you select your book club's next great read, or just help you keep up with what's going on in the book world.

Also included here are access links to subscription databases such as Literature Resource Center and NoveList, book-centered social media sites such as Goodreads and LibraryThing; thousands of book discussion guides from various websites including the Reading Group Guides and LitLovers; guide to books in series; and one of our favorite book recommendation sites,  What Should I Read Next?

What Should I Read Next produces recommendations based purely on collective taste: when users enter the same books into their favorites list, the books become associated with a certain reading taste.  Users looking for their next good read enter a title or an author that they like, and the service produces a list of additional titles that others who liked the first book also like.  Give it a try. You will get some refreshing and intriguing results, and may find your next favorite book!
