New Flatbed Scanner
by Children's Librarian 1 | August 27, 2015 at 03:08 PM
A new flatbed scanner is now available in the reference area of the library. The scanner has a large 11x17 inch (A3) scan bed, and can be used to scan bulky, oversized or fragile documents that can not be passed through a sheet-fed scanner. Users can save scans as image files or searchable PDFs, output to an image editor, or use the built in software to create editable PDF or Microsoft Word files. The new scanner is fast, easy to use, and creates excellent results.
The library also has a sheet-fed scanner that can be used to very quickly scan multiple-page documents.
Both scanners are located on the upper level of the library, behind the reference desk. As with other computer equipment, users are asked to login with their Minuteman Library card number.
