Going Away? Freeze Your Holds!

It's disappointing to wait for a book, only to have it arrive while you are on vacation and unable to pick it up.

If you are planning on being away, you can use the "Freeze" (suspend) Holds option in "My Account" so that items don’t arrive while you are away. Your hold will continue to move toward the top of the list, but will not be filled until you remove the checkmark and "unfreeze" it.  

Requests on items that are currently available or which have already gone into the delivery system cannot be frozen.
