Find "Available Now" Materials

So, you are leaving on a road trip this weekend and you need an audiobook to listen to in your car. Or your in-laws are arriving and you need a DVD to keep them entertained. Wouldn’t it be handy to be able to search the Catalog for materials that are available to pick up in Acton? Well, there is!
In this example we will show you how to search for mystery audiobooks that are on the shelf in Acton right now:
1. Go to the Minuteman Catalog at: https://find.minlib.net. In the search box type “mystery” (or another search term)
2. On the left side of the screen under “Format” click on “SPOKEN CD” (or choose another format you are interested in). To choose more than one format, click on "more" and click the formats you would like to include. Click "Apply" to update the search results.
3. Under “Location” click “Acton” (use the "Location" refinement, which indicates your library; not the "Collections" refinement, which indicates adult or children's materials).
4. Under “Availability” click “At a library” (which means, on the shelf right now).
You should see a list of applied refinements like the one below, and all of the titles listed in the main part of the screen should now show as being "Available" in Acton.
If you prefer digital content, you may browse or search for "Available Now" titles in the Minuteman Digital Catalog, as well as in the Libby by OverDrive mobile app. Also, Hoopla digital content is always available -- no holds, no waiting -- to residents of Acton and other subscribing communities.
