Young Adult Artwork in the Library
Guidelines for Submitting Young Adult Artworks
Residents of Acton ages 14 to 19 and students attending Acton-Boxborough Regional High School are invited to submit their two-dimensional artwork for hanging in the Young Adult alcove of the Acton Memorial Library and for display in electronic form on the Library's website. Various media including painting, drawing, printmaking, illustration, photography, textiles and mixed media are eligible. If possible, the works should be mounted or framed and ready for hanging. (The Library has some poster frames in various sizes that may be used if needed.) Please submit an image of the artwork by email to email@example.com and include your name, title of work, medium, and dimensions. Students may submit as many works as they wish but, depending on space available, only one work from each student will be displayed during any given month. Once your work has been accepted, you will be given a time to bring in your artwork and a time to collect it. Artwork will usually be on display for one month. Students may make arrangements to collect their work early if it is needed for a portfolio.
The Acton Memorial Library does not hold insurance for art work on exhibit and is not responsible for loss or damage of the artist’s work.
