Library Apps

Library patrons have access to several mobile apps related to library services. Each of these apps is available for free through your device’s app store.

 

Available to all Minuteman Library Network patrons:

 

 Minuteman Library Network Mobile App    

  • Use this app to search the Minuteman Catalog, view your library account, renew items, place and manage holds, and access an array of digital content.  

  • Sign in with your library card number and password to store a digital copy of your library card, which you can use to borrow items and add money to your print account.

  • Choose Acton as your home library to access hours, events, and more on the go.

 

OverDrive 

  • Downloadable ebooks and audiobooks, plus streaming video – borrow and access all within the app! Ebooks and audiobooks include popular titles and bestsellers.
  • How to access:  Search for and download “OverDrive” from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon App Store.

 

      Libby, by OverDrive

  • Quickly and seamlessly access OverDrive ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines. No need to choose a format when downloading – simply borrow and start reading or listening!

  • How to access:  Search for and download “Libby” from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

 

Gale Access My Library   

  • On-the-go access to the library’s Gale database subscriptions, including Academic OneFile and General OneFile. Get the full text of magazine and journal articles on your phone or tablet.
  • How to Access:  Search for and download “Access My Library” from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

 

Available to residents of Acton and other subscribing communities:

 

Hoopla   

  • On-demand ebooks, audiobooks, comics, movies, television shows and full music albums. Content is always available – no holds, no waiting!
  • How to access:  Search for and download “Hoopla” from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon App Store.

 

 

Mango Languages   

  • After you create an account through the library's E-Resources webpage, sign in to learn over 70 world languages from English or Spanish; or learn English (ESOL) from over 20 languages.

  •  How to access:  Search for and download “Mango Languages” from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon App Store.
