Award-Winning Poet Reads in Acton March 29
Award-winning poet Marie Howe will read from her work Wednesday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the 17th Annual Robert Creeley Award. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School auditorium, 36 Charter Rd., Acton.
Helen Creeley Student Poetry Prize winners Emma Crockford of Rising Tide Charter Public School in Plymouth and Claudia Inglessis of Buckingham Browne and Nichols School in Cambridge will open the program. They were selected from 110 applicants from 65 schools across the state.
The program is supported in part by grants from the Acton-Boxborough, Chelmsford, Concord and Littleton Cultural Councils, local agencies supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
