History

William Allan Wilde gave the Acton Memorial Library to the Town as a memorial to its Civil War veterans in 1890. The building was expanded in 1967, and a second major expansion and renovation was completed in 1999.

Location

The Acton Memorial Library is located at 486 Main St. (Rte. 27) in Acton Center. Take Route 2 to Exit 42 onto Route 27, heading North. The Library is 1 mile on the left next to the Town Hall, across from the monument on the Town green.

Parking

Parking is available behind Town Hall. To access the parking lot turn left from Rte. 27 onto Woodbury Lane (directly across the street from the Monument in Acton Center). Handicapped parking is in the upper lot behind Town Hall and the Library.

Sunday: Open 2 - 5 p.m. beginning September 7
Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday: Open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. beginning September
