Daniel G. Taylor, age 14, is recorded as a resident of Roxbury, Oxford, Maine in the 1850 census, in the household (no. 11/11) of Abel W. Taylor and Naomi S. Taylor. Also in the household was 9 year old Simeon O. Taylor ("1850 United States Federal Census," Ancestry.com).

Daniel Taylor, age 24, a farmer, is recorded in the 1860 census as a resident of Roxbury, Oxford, Maine, in the household (198/130) of Abil W. Taylor and Naomi Taylor, enumerated on June 15, 1860. Also in the household was 18 year old Simeon Taylor. Daniel G. Taylor, age 24, a Hoop Maker, is recorded as an inhabitant of West Acton in the 1860 federal census (dwelling no. 180), enumerated on August 4, 1860 ("1860 United States Federal Census," Ancestry.com).

After the war, Daniel Taylor resided in Lowell (1863-1904) and Winchester (source: pension file).
