Wellington Chickering, a 45 year old teamster, was recorded as a resident of Boston, Mass. in the 1860 federal census, living with 39 year old Sylvina Chickering ("1860 United States Federal Census," Ancestry.com).

Wellington Chickering's service in the Navy is recorded in the 1862/63 annual report for the Town of Acton, p. 18.
