Born in Sandwich, N.H., the son of Richard and Joanna Moulton. Brother of Albert Moulton and James Moulton. 

Charles H. Moulton, age 18, is recorded as an inhabitant of South Acton in the 1860 federal census, in household of Richard and Joanna Moulton, which also included brother James Moulton  (source:  1860 United States Federal Census. In: Ancestry.com [online database]).

The death of Charlie Moulton is mentioned in a letter dated January 8, 1865 from Lydia Lucinda Fletcher to her son Aaron Jones Fletcher.

Name included on the Acton Memorial Library Soldiers' Tablet, "The Men of Acton Who Fought For The Union."
