DEATH OF AMOS KNOWLTON

    Amos Knowlton passed away Monday, May 2, at the home of his son, A.A. Knowlton. Death was due to heart trouble and general breaking down.
     Mr. Knowlton was born in Loranville, Me., 89 years ago. He came to Acton 37 years ago and has lived in Acton the greater part of the time since. He married Miss Olive Howard of Belfast, Me., who died about 20 years ago. Mr. Knowlton was known as a good citizen of the town, and honest in his dealings with his fellowmen. Funeral service was held at the house last Wednesday afternoon, Rev. E.I. Lyndth, former pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. He leaves two sons and two daughters, F.R. Knowlton and O.A. Knowlton of this place, Miss N.W. Knowlton of Roxbury and Mrs. G.H. Watson of Lowell.
     Burial was in the family lot in Mt. Hope cemetery.
