in
Acton
 County of Middlesex
 State of Massachusetts

At Acton on Apr. 15th, 1861, I entered the service, as private, in Company E. 6th Mass. Infantry (Old Sixth).

 

I was first discharged on August 25th, 1861 at Boston Common, and again enlisted in Company E. 26th Regiment Mass. Vol. For three years and after a service of forty months, was finally discharged, Oct. 19th, 1864, by reason of expiration of term of service.
