Who was born the
day of
A.D. 1844
in
Swansville County of Waldo
State of Maine

On August 28th, 1862, he first entered the service, as private in Company E. 6th Mass Regiment Infantry, for nine months. At the close of the war, he held the rank of corporal. He re-enlisted in Company E. 6th Mass Volunteers for three months.

 

After serving a term of twelve months’ service, he was finally discharged on October 27th, 1864.
