Comrade John Kenney
Who was born the
day of
A.D. 1832
in
County of   State of Ireland

At Taunton, Mass. on January 5th, 1863, I first entered the service, as private, in Co. B. 18th Mass. Volunteers and held no other rank during the war, still a private at the close of the war. On July 20th, 1864, I was first discharged at New York. I then re-enlisted in U. S. Navy and when the war had closed, I was finally discharged on June 17th, 1865.

I was wounded at Cold Harbor.

I was never confined in a hospital or taken prisoner.

Among my most intimate comrades were Sergt. Smith, Capt. McCarthy, Sergt. Ayers, Thos. Griffin, John Griffin, Sergt. Little and Col. White.

I have also been in several other engagements of which I do not remember the places.

I Certify that the Sketch of my War service as above written is true as
I verily believe
