                        Franklin LA  Feb 4th 1864

Sir
As I was writing A line [to] Charles
I thought I would just give you [a] line
an I am hoping that this will find you in
good health  my health is good and all
right  As Lieut Blodgett & [John?] Haynes have
bothe been to see you there it no use
under taken to tel you any thing like
News  Lieut sead that you had some
thought of reenlisting I have been looking
for you up here that is he sead that
you was coming up to stop a day or two if
you coud I would like to see you
very much and Charles W Hascomb to
I would like to have you very much
if you see it in that lite I have been
remustered  I would Like as many of my Men
as posable you Brooks & Lamphere I think
that there will be as many as 65 of my
Men before we get ready to go Home
I would like you very much but do not
want you to go againse you own Judgement
you know  best if you do not come
up  Please write to me I wish you an
Charles woud write if Jackson got is Pay
all right or not
