Not Afraid to Go: Acton’s Part in the Birth and Preservation of Our Nation
Where They Fought
This section shows the date and location of all the major battles of the Civil War with a list of which ones were fought by Acton men. Fully two thirds of the battles were fought by Acton men. In some cases, such as the seige of Vicksburg, had only one man. In others, such as Antietam and Gettysburg, saw Acton men in several regiments.
