Library Cards

Library Cards are available to any Massachusetts resident who has reached his or her fourth birthday. Residents of non-Minuteman towns must also have a card from their home library.   Please bring proof of name and address when applying for a card.

Children under 14 need a parent or legal guardian's signature on their application.

You must have a Minuteman library card to check out library materials. If you have lost or misplaced your Minuteman card a free replacement will be provided to you. There is a limit of one free replacement card per year. 

Loan Periods

Most items circulate for three weeks. The loan period for DVDs, videos, and CD-ROMs is one week.

Too busy to come to the library to renew your books? Renew online with your library card and PIN by visiting My Account.  Call us at 978-929-6655, option 2, to renew your books over the phone.

Overdue Fines

On museum passes the overdue fine is $10.00 per day with no grace period.

For Virtual Catalog interlibrary loans the fine is $2.00 a day with no grace period. On other out-of-network interlibrary loans the fine is $1.00 a day with no grace period.

On videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs the overdue fine is $1.00 per day with no grace period and a maximum fine of $10 per item.

On adult books the overdue fine is 15¢ per day with a 3 day grace period and a maximum fine of $15.

On paperbacks and magazines the overdue fine is 15¢ per day with a 3 day grace period and a maximum fine of $7.50.

On all other items the fine is 10¢ per day with a 3 day grace period and maximum overdue fine of $10 per item.
