Acton library patrons now have access to WorldVitalRecords, a new genealogy resource subscription with U.S. and international coverage. The library's subscription includes home access for Acton residents.
Highlights include the U.S. Census 1790-1940; the U.S. Social Security Death Index; and WorldVitalRecords Family Trees. There are over 20,000 searchable databases and digitized books covering every genealogical record type, and from all over the world. Users can search, or browse all content by state, country, record type, or surname.
WorldVitalRecords joins the library's collection of other genealogical resources including AmericanAncestors, Ancestry Library Edition, and Access NewspaperArchive. Library users can access all of these services from the library's Databases page. Users are invited to send feedback on this new service to the Reference Department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
