Holiday Book Program

by Library Staff | December 8, 2015 at 02:12 PM

The 21st year of Acton Memorial Library’s popular Holiday Book Program is now underway.

Under the Program, library users purchase pre-selected books to add to the collection. The library’s ‘wish list’ includes books for all ages. Donors are able to see and examine titles the library would like to have as gifts. The display for the Program is located on the first floor near the DVD shelves.

It’s simple to make a gift to the library through the Holiday Book Program.  The giver selects the volume to be donated, fills out a simple form and brings both to the Circulation Desk with a check made out to the Acton Memorial Library Gift Fund. Donors may choose the wording for the volume’s bookplate; items have been given in honor of birthdays, friends or family members or in gratitude for support or a job well done. Givers may pick up a colorful card at the Circulation Desk to send to the person or group honored; they may also reserve the book if they wish to see it after the bookplate is added or be the first to read it.

The display will continue until the end of December or until all the titles are sold.
