BOOKS AND AUDIOVISUAL ITEMS FROM WITHIN THE MINUTEMAN NETWORK Most items owned by Minuteman libraries are shared between libraries and can be requested online. (Some items, such as newer DVDs and reference books, are not requestable). The item will be shipped to the Minuteman library of your choice. There is no charge for this service. FROM WITHIN MASSACHUSETTS If an item is not owned by a Minuteman Library but is available in another Massachusetts library network that participates in the Massachusetts Virtual Catalog, users may request the item through the Virtual Catalog. Click HERE to log in to the Virtual Catalog. There is no charge for this service. OUTSIDE MASSACHUSETTS For items outside the Minuteman or Virtual Catalog system, please fill out the online Interlibrary Loan Request for a Book or Audiovisual Item form. There is a $5 postage/packaging charge for items shipped from outside the Massachusetts Library System. Some lending libraries also charge additional fees. Turn-around time is usually 1 to 3 weeks. A valid Minuteman Library card is required. MAGAZINE/JOURNAL ARTICLES Please fill out the Interlibrary Loan Request for a magazine/journal article. Articles are usually sent to you via email as a PDF file. Turn around time is usually 1 to 3 weeks. There is no charge for this service, but a valid Minuteman Library card is required. YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION When the requested item arrives, you will be contacted with the email address (or telephone number) that is in your Minuteman Library Network account.
